I think it's a pivotal turning point for all of us when we start extending our use of astrology past our own charts to truly understand our world and others very different from us. We also do ourselves no favors by isolating our craft by a language that leaves most of the general public with eyes glassed over. A great and dare I say necessary practice for those seeking to do astrology professionally is to think of many creative analogies as you can to explain to others what astrology is. How do we explain astrology in a way a mother can understand, an investment banker, a poet, a small business owner, a fundamentalist Christian? It was my first Norwac conference and the "new" language had me thinking similarily. These "faces" could be justifications for not moving forward and accepting our opportunities for growth... staying in our stories/signs and not embracing the polarities. Your talk got my potenial juices flowing.. not only should I describe my "bus", and invite people on, but also include an itinerary!!! Blessings..
