Happy New Year, dear readers! 2010 starts out with a bit of flux and some work to do, but never you fear, as February will bring some clarity. On New Year’s Eve we had an eclipse which may have left you spinning; use the first week of January to get organized and integrate. With Mercury retrograde until 1/15, we need to retrace our steps and slow down. The eclipse on 1/14 PDT brings a needed shift to help right the power imbalances in our world, emphasizing integrity and responsibility. The karmic chickens come home to roost, and offer us an accurate picture of where we are at with our own self-respect.
1/1 Rest and integrate from New Year’s Eve. Do whatever you need to do to ground and nourish yourself.
1/2…Play, create, and connect with friends. Courage is high, as is false bravado and impulsiveness, so set an intention to act from the truth of your heart and be amazed at what you are capable of. Courageous action is needed, specifically redressing a moment where in the past you succumbed to peer pressure in a way that didn’t serve you.
1/3…Plan for a mellow afternoon. Tidy up and organize for the next couple of weeks.
1/4-1/5…We are full of ideas and ways to implement them. Articulate the plan on 1/4 and on 1/5 practice listening deeply to those who are impacted.
1/6-1/7…Socialize and connect with others, particularly old friends and people from your past. See how experiences with these people have shaped who you are, and tell them about it.
1/8-1/9…The mood turns more serious and focussed. Enjoy all that you can accomplish as you follow the thread of your passion.
1/10-1/11..Get outside, get inspired. A felt sense of commitment is available through our relationships and connections.
1/12-1/13…Reflect on what you have set in motion since mid May with fresh eyes and sparkling insights. Innovation is in the air for us to honor the autonomy, brilliance, and interdependence of everyone involved.
Self-Respect and Reputation….Solar Eclipse in Capricorn 1/14 11:11pm PDT
True power comes from striking a balance between effort and surrender. This eclipse will highlight where we may be out of balance on the continuum between planning and initiating and radical openness to possibility. Be real and direct with yourself and others. What kind of reputation do you have, personally and professionally? Eclipses typically bring a measure of flux and changes, so take any information that has been brought to light and give yourself some solitude to process and integrate. Most likely we will be revisiting dynamics that surfaced on New Year’s Eve. Keep in mind that whatever we do is judged by others, and be careful of taking the external circumstances personally.
1/15…Mercury turns direct today, adding some wild cards on the tails of the eclipse. Cultivate patience and double check the details. An objective perspective helps us break out of overly rigid thinking
1/16…Make sure to get some exercise to help your mind, body, spirit, and soul calibrate your recent inner and outer experiences.
