Overview: This month will test our ability to stabilize and simplify in the midst of a changing landscape. Think about how a farmer has to adapt constantly to a shifting marketplace and weather patterns; how can you honor this natural process in your life with the dynamic circumstances you may be experiencing? Initiate projects for spring during the first week (and send your taxes in if you haven’t already); the closer we get to Mercury turning retrograde (4/17), the wonkier the energy is for starting things. Until it turns direct mid May we have a great opportunity to finish what we’ve already started. Make sure to double check details regardless.

4/1…Self-confidence stirs from a deeper place. Utilize the optimism and passion as you move forward into a practical strategy.

Mercury’s entrance into earthy Taurus on 4/2 supports a methodical approach as we consider what building blocks and resources we need. Kick up your heels Friday evening and continuing on into 4/3 we are ready for some playtime.

Happy Easter 4/5…Celebrating Life…What transformations and transitions are you present to in your life and in your community? Check into levels of resistance/acceptance surrounding these changes. What might be the deeper underlying purpose? Honor the fertility and abundance of springtime by giving thanks to what truly nurtures you.

4/6…Brings an underlying intensity to the surface. What long term dynamics are you aware of, especially relating to anything initiated late August, early September? Time for some honesty and probing questions to see where the strengths and weaknesses are.

4/7-4/9…Saturn moves back into Virgo, where it will stay until mid July of this year, urging us to stay on task and grounded in the details. From 10/07-10/09 Saturn was in Virgo. What did you clean up in your life? What reorganization took place? This was an excellent time to learn new skills, take on a school program, improve health and diet, and increase overall organization and efficiency in your life. From now until July we get another opportunity to clean up our act. Saturn has been a major factor in the strong winds of change we have been experiencing since the fall of 2008 when Saturn the structure maker first started its dance opposing Uranus the freedom-loving innovator. They oppose one another again later this month (4/26). Look back to the other opposition dates to review what you’ve learned and how your approach to paradigm shifts has improved: 11/4/08, 2/5/09, 9/15/09.

4/10-4/11 This weekend enjoy the generosity and tenderness in the air. Make sure to leave spaces in and between any scheduled activities to connect and loose track of time. Spend some moments by a body of water if you can. If doubts/overwhelm creep in, see where you can be more gentle and magnanimous with yourself and others.
4/12-4/13…After an expansive weekend, we are ready to take initiative. Adjustments are called for. Make sure to not skimp on exercise.

4/14..New Moon in Aries…Igniting a match…
Take advantage of this quick window of opportunity to put action to your dreams before Mercury goes retrograde on 4/17. Our passion is a sacred fuel; combine it with your values and you are unstoppable. Use this torch to burn through any remaining winter stagnation.

4/15…No need to hurry, take your time and be mindful of what you’re doing. Get outside and explore your senses and instincts. Double check plans and details.

3/16-3/31: Making Space for New Growth

March 16th, 2010

Reflecting

Originally uploaded by champy1013

Overview: The last two weeks of March bring in a rush of spring energy, culminating in an edgy full moon on 3/29. Spring cleaning is needed to shed the layers we no longer need and to clear the space for the seeds we are planting.
3/16-3/17…Soften and expand into any places in your mind, body, and spirit that became stuck or stiff during the winter. Time to breath new life and energy in our space.

3/18-3/19…Careful of reacting to the fresh ideas and creativity freed up by the new moon with negative thinking. Instead, consider a step by step approach where at every tun you have options to take a more thoughtful and considerate direction.

Resistance is here…3/20..which means we’ve hit upon something that needs to be addressed in a more conscious manner. The challenge is to let go of our attachment to the strategy we think we need to get to the desired outcome.
We are pushing up through the soil to the sun: trust your instincts and life itself to lead you.

Test of patience…3/21…Be reasonable with any timelines you are considering, and open to enlisting the help of others. Careful of loosing your cool; accept the challenges for what they are.

3/22 A new powerful strategy reveals itself. You have the freedom to take it or leave it.

3/23-25…Spring cleaning is needed so we can make space for new growth. Clear out the clutter, have the difficult conversation, empty your cup and look to see where you can give closure to what is ending at this time. Release the drama and open your heart to the mystery and creativity of the moment.

3/26-27…Regroup and attend to the details. See how you can be accountable to your values in a practical way.

Polarized No Longer…3/28-29…Full Moon in Libra
Show up in new ways in your relationships. We are fearless and courageous with our words; just take care that sharing the fiery vision is coming from a place of compassion versus antagonism. Time to release some ideals and black and white thinking that no longer serves us to better direct our energy towards a shared vision. Don’t be afraid of differing points of view. Remember that diversity brings strength to a system, and you don’t have to like someone to respect them and benefit from their input and support.

3/30-31…Take your time with conversations and negotiations resulting from whatever bloomed and expanded for you with the full moon. On 3/31 make sure to take some time and enjoy the senses with good music, food, and company to honor Venus’s entrance into Taurus.

Overview: After the expansive full moon on 2/28, we may be feeling restless and ready to move forward. However, the first couple of weeks of March we must take care of some important communication and consider how our plans for the spring impact others in our world. We may need to breakdown to break through 3/9-3/11; remember that you don’t need to figure it all out, just be honest with how you feel and what you want. The Pisces new moon on 3/15 helps us to release and let go of fears we no longer need to carry and plants the seed for new, more compassionate possibilities.

3/1…Communicate your intuitions and perceptions; we are riding on the tails of an expansive full moon yesterday. It may take a couple of tries to get your message across; don’t give up.

The diplomat…3/2…Call it as you see it with courtesy and respect. Time to negotiate a third way through any polarities you are experiencing.

3/3-4…The difficult questions we looked at earlier in the week break open to possibilities we hadn’t yet fathomed. The depths of our perceptions can renew and replenish our spirit.

My way…3/5…Careful of blowing an interpersonal situation out of proportion. Poise is needed, not clever comebacks, to better channel our power and passion by accepting the limits of our personal will and truly attempting to understand the needs of others.

Let Freedom Reign…3/6-7…Take a risk and explore something new this weekend. With the moon in Sagittarius, the sign of the explorer and philosopher and Venus entering the feisty sign of Aries, we are in the mood for an adventure.

3/8-9….Switch out negative thinking with a mature perspective. The pressure is on our relationships to grow and deepen on 3/9. Remember that when you point the finger at another three fingers point back at you. We will most likely encounter some strong projections; by owning these instead of blaming others we create a lasting foundation of trust and respect with those we care about.

A turning point of passion…3/10-3/11…on 3/10 Mars, the planet of passion, action, and courage turns direct; it has been retrograde in Leo since Dec 20. Where have you directed and realigned your passion and motivation to more personal matters in the past three months? Retrograde phases of any planet are an opportunity to retrace our steps and reclaim something of value. This Mars cycle in particular dealt with our heart, romance, creativity, and the inner child. You may have experienced some hiccups and delays in external events and planning; but take care as the tide is turning and our energy levels and ability to execute should ramp up accordingly in the coming weeks as we move further into the spring.

Directly following the Mars station on 3/11 Venus, goddess of love, connection, and values, squares off with Pluto, god of the underworld and deep transformation. Passion and intensity are in the air. This aspect puts pressure on our relationships. We must change and deepen our commitment to that which we value and love and let go and release that which we have outgrown. Issues that come up in relationships have deeper roots than we may initially realize. Let go of power plays and embrace radical honesty. Be fearless and go to the essence of the matter at hand; greater trust and intimacy are available for those who choose to make this journey.

3/12..Take some time to catch your breath and reflect.

Waves are crashing on our shore…3/13-3/15…Innovation and ideas come fast and furious. Sleep patterns may be disturbed by all the electric energy in the air (Uranus, the radical liberator is joining Mercury the messenger in Pisces). Just go with it and write down the sparkling truths flashing through your mind. That and go easy on the caffeine J

Pisces New Moon 3/15…”Compassion is the Radicalism of our times” –H.H. the Dalai Lama

Go beyond your limits. The dreamer has some messages for us. Take heed and listen. Mystical experiences are likely and available to facilitate the liberation of our soul and spirit from any self-imposed limitations that are no longer relevant. Be open and receptive to experiencing compassion, faith, and forgiveness in new ways.

Overview: The last couple weeks of February things start coming together and settling into a new pattern. The breakdowns and changes of the end of January as well as the hard work of early February kicked off a cycle of breakthroughs that flow along quite nicely for the next couple of weeks. Just keep in mind much of the work being done is below the surface appearances.

2/15…Pocket of discipline. Take advantage of the drive and efficiency to accomplish a task or goal. Time to take the inspiration and changes of late and hash out a reasonable plan.

2/16…I wish the best for you…There’s a magnanimous feeling in the air. Let the goodwill flow. Time to feel the love and spread it around.

2/17-2/18…Some action is what we need. Start the fire and tend to it.

2/19-2/20..Pace slows to a measured trot. Don’t shy away from difficult conversations; just remember a methodical approach is best.

2/21-2/22…Adjustments, organization, and tweaking are needed. Don’t let small setbacks and frustrations fuel any resistance to the work at hand. Flow around them like a river around a rock.

2/23-2/24…Yes! Good news and power surges leave us focus and intense. Enjoy the experience of being in the zone. Our sense of timing is impeccable.

2/25-2/26…Spend some time laughing and playing. Lavish yourself and others with positive attention. We all thrive with honest praise, and one of the best gifts you can give is quality attention and presence to both yourself those you care about.

2/27-2/28…Let yourself visualize and dream big. Fill up your cup with inspiration and insight from wherever you find it.

2/1-2/14: Lead with the Heart Brain

Overview: What power shifts/intensity did you experience at the end of January? Now is the time to come back home to your heart. Consider the following quote, by Doc Childre, Founder of the Institute of HeartMath: “Since emotional processes can work faster than the mind, it takes a power stronger than the mind to bend perception, override emotional circuitry, and provide us with intuitive feeling instead. It takes the power of the heart.” Our well being is dependent upon an intricate, dynamic system of the heart, brain, nervous, hormonal and immune systems, of which the heart is the most powerful generator of rhythmic information and patterns. Utilize this resource in the next couple of weeks as you integrate and synthesize the changes afoot: put your hand over your heart and listen to the beat.

2/1…Get into your routine and be amazed at all you can accomplish. Attention to detail comes easily, use it catch up on the basics.

2/2-3…Attend to conversations that impact the long term in your relationships.

2/4-2/5…strong feelings surface to direct us towards which possible future holds the most heart and meaning for us.

2/6…It’s all coming together…The resources and opportunities are matching up quite nicely. The way is clear for us to harness the energy available and direct with integrity. Spend some time cultivating your inner magician.

2/7…In love with the world…imagination is more important than intelligence, especially today. The heart chakra needs some attention; see where your sense of belonging with the tribe can better match your individuality. Spend some time communing with the muse, especially important if you are feeling vulnerable/self-doubt.

2/8-9…Stretch and grow into the fresh energy afoot. Fake it till you make it with new projects and opportunities.

2/10-2/11…I like the way you think…See how beautiful and truth filled you can make your interactions. How can you approach a conversation like a dance or piece of art?

2/12-2/13…New Moon in Aquarius…Reality is wobbling. Practice surrender and reverence for the new eyes we have available to us as the veils between time and space become transparent. The visionary humanitarian is melting down walls of separation in our world; fly far and free and enjoy the objectivity and common ground we all share.

Choose love and fear melts…2/14…Celebrate the heart and its capacity for unlimited compassion. What if love really is the true superpower? Why limit our celebration of love to the romantic vibration today? Celebrate the high heart and agape: love that is divine, unconditional, and thoughtful.

1/17-31: Taking Up the Reins

January 25th, 2010

Overview:
The eclipse on 1/14 brought in some new structures and highlighted where we need to change and let go and step up to the plate. What sacred work is in front of you now? What do you want to accomplish? Don’t be fooled by changing appearances. By the end of the month the underlying structures will be more clear as we strip away the old layers.

1/17…Go beyond your limits by trusting and accepting your current circumstances. Today is a day for the dreamers and mystics to come out and play. Jupiter enters the sign of Pisces where it will be until June, and then again from September through Jan 2011. Don’t make any rigid plans and see if you can take a break from your cell phone and computer. Come back to your own rhythm, it’s always there to support you.
1/18-19..In honor of Martin Luther King day, find your underdog to champion; we are only as strong as our weakest link. What are the voices we don’t hear?
Here’s a quote from MLK himself to inspire your efforts: “Human salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted.”

1/20..Fiesty and fresh. Take action. Strategy and cunning are needed Wed evening to shift a longstanding dynamic. Much headway can be made with projects for 2010.

1/21…Make sure your words match your actions in the morning, and continue with the forward momentum for the rest of the day.

1/22…Old friends and connections are gold; take pleasure in your responsibilities to those you care about.

1/23-24…The moon in Taurus slows us down and urges simplicity and methodical behavior. Pay attention to your body and your senses: what are they telling you?

1/25-26…Ideas and conversations run fast and furious. Write them down but don’t judge them just yet. Great energy for brainstorming, networking, and sales.

1/27-28..A spirited couple of days. Passion and feelings run strong. Express yourself with panache and flair. You are an original.

Fully Range of Expression…1/29-30…The Here and Now.
The artist needs her audience just as much as her medium. Be generous and compassionate with your feedback. What was going on for you in mid November? Time to celebrate and grieve the endings and beginnings and add more love and self respect to the dynamic. Utilize a creative outlet to work with the strong emotions and many colors and dimensions of your life to celebrate the Leo full moon on 1/29. If you find yourself gettingn overly self-absorbed in your process, reach out and give generously to others with random acts of kindness.

1/31…Processing…Take it easy. Give yourself time to digest and reflect, clear out the cobwebs, and gracefully let go

Overview:
Happy New Year, dear readers! 2010 starts out with a bit of flux and some work to do, but never you fear, as February will bring some clarity. On New Year’s Eve we had an eclipse which may have left you spinning; use the first week of January to get organized and integrate. With Mercury retrograde until 1/15, we need to retrace our steps and slow down. The eclipse on 1/14 PDT brings a needed shift to help right the power imbalances in our world, emphasizing integrity and responsibility. The karmic chickens come home to roost, and offer us an accurate picture of where we are at with our own self-respect.

1/1 Rest and integrate from New Year’s Eve. Do whatever you need to do to ground and nourish yourself.

1/2…Play, create, and connect with friends. Courage is high, as is false bravado and impulsiveness, so set an intention to act from the truth of your heart and be amazed at what you are capable of. Courageous action is needed, specifically redressing a moment where in the past you succumbed to peer pressure in a way that didn’t serve you.

1/3…Plan for a mellow afternoon. Tidy up and organize for the next couple of weeks.

1/4-1/5…We are full of ideas and ways to implement them. Articulate the plan on 1/4 and on 1/5 practice listening deeply to those who are impacted.

1/6-1/7…Socialize and connect with others, particularly old friends and people from your past. See how experiences with these people have shaped who you are, and tell them about it.

1/8-1/9…The mood turns more serious and focussed. Enjoy all that you can accomplish as you follow the thread of your passion.

1/10-1/11..Get outside, get inspired. A felt sense of commitment is available through our relationships and connections.

1/12-1/13…Reflect on what you have set in motion since mid May with fresh eyes and sparkling insights. Innovation is in the air for us to honor the autonomy, brilliance, and interdependence of everyone involved.

Self-Respect and Reputation….Solar Eclipse in Capricorn 1/14 11:11pm PDT
True power comes from striking a balance between effort and surrender. This eclipse will highlight where we may be out of balance on the continuum between planning and initiating and radical openness to possibility. Be real and direct with yourself and others. What kind of reputation do you have, personally and professionally? Eclipses typically bring a measure of flux and changes, so take any information that has been brought to light and give yourself some solitude to process and integrate. Most likely we will be revisiting dynamics that surfaced on New Year’s Eve. Keep in mind that whatever we do is judged by others, and be careful of taking the external circumstances personally.

1/15…Mercury turns direct today, adding some wild cards on the tails of the eclipse. Cultivate patience and double check the details. An objective perspective helps us break out of overly rigid thinking

1/16…Make sure to get some exercise to help your mind, body, spirit, and soul calibrate your recent inner and outer experiences.

12/17-12/31: From Victim to Co-Creator

The closing of 2009 offers us an opportunity to radically embrace being our own best friend over our own worst enemy.
More will be revealed with every passing day with Mercury going retrograde on 12/26 and a powerful eclipse on New Year’s Eve. Surrender any well laid plans to create some impromtu and spontaneous holiday traditions. On a practical note, avoid last minute shopping. If you can’t, get a gift card or something that is easy to exchange. Double check travel plans, and leave plenty of time for possible delays.Great time for healing work and finishing projects you’ve already started. Cultivate your sense of humor for any miscommunications. Our egos are being asked to let go of any controlling behavior that no longer serves us. Pay close attention to your intuition; it has some important messages for you. Make sure to plan in some quality down time to integrate and reflect on 2009.

12/17-18…Play with the meaning and insight that emerged for you with the recent new moon (12/16). Find a physical outlet if you feel grouchy. Keep yourself on a diet of honesty, generosity, and mutual regard and cut the drama. Utilize your creative outlets to express yourself in new ways.

12/19-20..May bring a fun surprise from a past connection. Continue to utilize a physical outlet for excess physical energy. Pay attention to messages from your body and heart.

Happy Solstice! 12/21…The Rebirth of the Sun…
The shortest day of the year brings an opportunity to reflect and integrate on the last few months. Integration and synthesis are needed for the spiritual lessons learned from the rapid fire changes you may have experienced. Excellent day for meditation and spiritual activities (however you define that for yourself). Just make sure to put yourself on a high dose of inspiration; the truth and faith emerging are needed to fuel our dreams.

12/22-23…Take some time to relax and recharge in the holiday bustle. Don’t cram too much in your schedule. If you feel doubtful/spacey, make sure to do something soul soothing (call an old friend, take a bath, do an art project, listen to your favorite music, etc)

12/24-25…Patience and negotiation skills are needed as we will be revisiting past family dynamics. Don’t kid yourself that you have it all under control if you are feeling vulnerable/scared. Careful of isolating; time to give voice to the shared values in the situation so that those involved can shift to a more mature and grounded strategy which may sacrifice short term gain for long term sustainability.

12/26-27…Mercury goes retrograde 12/26 in Capricorn, where it will be until 1/15. This is a great time to rework and revisit conversations/projects that you started in 2009. Also a conducive period to do healing work around authority and owning your own power. Reach out and connect with mentors/elders from your past for guidance.

Easy Does it…12/28-29…Play with different ideas and dialogue. Double check all logistics, and use any communication snafus as an opportunity to develop your sense of humor.

Our Emotions are our Link to the Universe…Lunar Eclipse in Cancer 12/30-12/31…
Eclipses bring new information to light and intense transformation, which can feel a bit chaotic and uncomfortable, as well as exhilarating and empowering. This eclipse highlights the family dynamic. Where might you now be able to take more responsibility for your responses versus your brain getting hijacked into an emotional reaction? This eclipse brings an opportunity to release long standing patterns from our ancestors that no longer serve us and cleanse our fears with love to bring forward the good, true, and beautiful of our lineage. Expect to see some shifts in the power dynamics with your family. The growing pains eventually bring us new found maturity and wisdom which will be with us for the rest of our lives. Stay fluid and remember to let your emotions flow without overly attaching and identifying with one particular feeling.

Overview:
During the first week of December we may feel like someone hit the fast forward button. Trust the pace, and initiate what you can. Later this month mercury goes retrograde (12/26-1/15) through mid January, which will give you ample time to reflect and slow down.

12/1…Full Moon in Gemini…Ready, Set, Go!…This full moon brings out the inner trailblazer. Clear the emotional cobwebs out of the way to forge ahead. Survey the options, and choose that which has heart and meaning for, not that which gets you the most brownie points with others. Careful of exaggerating and stretching the truth. Stick to the value of the lessons you are learning at this time. If you could write the lesson plan, what would it look like?

12/2…Time to talk it out and listen to the messages you receive. Plan some extra time for exploring and diversions.

12/3-4…Bringing it back home…Our felt needs for security are asking for some attention in the midst of the wild ride of the past week. On 12/4 connect with an old friend/mentor to gain valuable perspective and insight.

Have a Good time…12/5-6…The moon in Leo is ready to put on her party dress. Create and be merry. Where do you feel like you truly belong, in all of your truth?

I really mean it…12/7-8…Our words and conversations have an added weight. Integrity, discipline and long term goals can be articulated at this time.

12/9-10…Let the fiery flow between the Sun and Mars support you taking action on your principles while enlisting all the support you need.

12/11-12…Much of Friday afternoon and evening is a good time to relax and reflect. The mood turns much more passionate and focussed for Saturday.

12/13…Good day to make needed changes, clean up, and do healing work.

12/14-15…The rumblings and shifts yesterday take on color and form. Welcome surprises and wild cards as gifts to your current process.

12/16…New Moon in Sagittarius…This I Believe…
Letting go of misplaced expectations sows the seeds for conviction and passion that are motivated by a radical respect for all living things. Find an outlet for the adventurer and philosopher in you that is seeking new possibilities. Spiritual courage is needed to take a leap of faith, the fruits of which we may not see till the spring.

11/16-11/30: Window of Opportunity

November 17th, 2009

winter window flickr

Overview: Chances are the past few days brought up some deep longings and possible change in direction. What did you let go of to make room for new growth? We may not see the full results for our efforts until the spring and summer; do whatever you need to do to initiate projects you’ll be working on for the next few months.

11/16…The Last Word…The Scorpio New Moon reminds us to release, shed, and let go. Deep transformation is afoot, demanding we increase our comfort level with chaos. Detach from drama and negativity by diving into your longing and emotional truth. Place your trust in the great mystery and the cycle of birth and death. Passions run high; see if you can focus more on the situation and specific behaviors. Intensity and extremes are the norm for Scorpio, and indeed are times when we are best able to experience the thrill of being alive.

11/17-18…The moon’s entry into Sagittarius brings some optimism to any situations that may have had us taking ourselves too seriously. Track the meaning and lessons behind these experiences.

Harmony and Desire…11/19-20…are playing tug of war. You may be feeling flirty and fiesty; have fun and explore different ways of expressing yourself. Ego tension can easily erupt in our relationships; channel it towards a health physical release.

Out of the water and into the fire…11/21-22…The Sun moves into Sagittarius on 11/21, bringing some healthy detachment and positivity with it. May need to rest and recharge from the last few weeks. Take refuge in thinkers, teachers, spiritual traditions that remind you of the possibility and potential within us all.

11/23…We need to make sure we get a good dose of pleasure. Just make sure it’s the kind you won’t regret tomorrow.

11/24..Self-discipline is here to help you crank through any work you want to finish up before the holiday.

Love and Freedom…11/25…Are easily reconciled sometimes, like today. Enjoy the unexpected and honesty in your relationships.

Gobble gobble…11/26…Happy Thanksgiving…Our words and actions may be going in different directions than our heart. Slow down, offer gratitude, and see how you can integrate and get these different parts of yourself on the same page.

11/27-28…With the moon in Aries, we are ready to move and burn off that holiday meal. Get outside, play a game, plan something active to take advantage of the go-get-’em energy in the air.

11/29-30…The last two days of November may find us a bit restless and cranked up. Sleep patterns may be disturbed; use any time you are awake to write down insights and inspirations, especially ones that may pertain to dynamics/issues that were up for you at the end of June. Time for resolution, release, or the next step.
